I’m on record of saying that I’m fascinated by the idea of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, that I want to see it, but that I also think it won’t actually make a huge difference in the quality of the movie. Snyder has ambition which Joss Whedon lacks, so I imagine Snyder’s Cut will be bigger, bolder, and longer. It could help things, especially when it comes to characters like Cyborg who feel really underdeveloped.
Anyway, looks like I’ll be able to find out.
Zack Snyder’s $20M-Plus ‘Justice League’ Cut Plans Revealed reports the Hollywood Reporter.
It’ll be released on HBOMax sometime next year. I’ll check it out.
I agree with RLM on the Snyder films, they seem bad in a really baffling way–as if they were completely bored with the material before they started shooting, so they started throwing stuff in there to keep their interest up. Some interesting ideas here and there, but way too much “we want this scene to happen, so let’s make the characters stupid so we can get there.”
I’m slightly interested in the Snyder version, but not to the point of spending money on it. In jy opinion, “Shazam” is the best DC Extended Universe film by far.

At some point I’ll write down my thoughts on the DCEU, but I think a lot more of them than the RLM guys do, well the Snyder movies at least.

Zach Snyder does’t understand superhero films, he thinks watchmen, is the standard, he doesn’t realize that superman has to be the good guy and take care, batman doesn’t willingly kill people and Ciaran hinds probably gives his worst performance as Steppenwolf, and he does good villains even in the second laura croft film,
